Matt and India have infectious personalities. The type you instantly feel like you know them totally just after one meeting. I was actually the second shooter at this event, only met them once prior, and felt like they were my best friends by the end of the day. I LOVE that. They’re such wonderful people. Accented by cowboy chic, some rain and a little gunfire (yes, gunfire!), this day was full of their rampant silliness and jovial authenticity. It is indeed because of their expression of selves which made photographing them so enriching. They were my first couple I tried a “first encounter” with, which is a “first look” of sorts where they don’t actually see each other, proving that portraits with both eyes closed can be hilarious, sweet, and tearfully endearing. AND STILL have that amazing first look at the ceremony! Sincerely! The Best First Look I’ve ever shot, Matt was completely consumed by the moment. Then we had rain! A brief but rejuvenating shower just as they hit the altar. Everything about these two shines totally in their photos, and they had hands-down the perfect wedding day, including rain, which actually did make it better. My complements also to India’s father who had the best seat in the house during h’orderves: the house rocking horse.
