Some moms want portraits of newborns sculpted, wrapped in gauze and bows, placed into things or utilized as thematic canvases to paint pictures of their own personalities. My sister prefers the capturing of real life and expression and family interaction, and I think I quite agree. Let baby be, see the whole family’s joy, emotion and excitement as well. I do wish there was a better term for “birth photography”, because it’s not about birth. It’s about family! This little man came too quick for me to see his birth after an 8 hour road trip, but I’m so happy I got to see everyone meeting him for the first time, especially his big sister. You won’t see that anywhere but the day and place in which they’re born. Priceless!
