Foster parenting isn’t for everyone, but most definitely it is for people with super large hearts. Nathanael and Anna are those people, and I’m lucky to have been invited to be part of their family dynamic. Not a lot of photographers will honestly tell you they enjoy posing families, but this one will tell you posing isn’t even a good option for families with heart and soul. Tweaking takes people out of the element that makes them authentic, and I don’t believe in face swaps or making kids do things other than play and enjoy their atmospheres. Life is zany, active, fussy, uncontrollable, and totally full of heart. The perfect mix of what makes parenting so endearing. These are what family portraits should reflect. And that is lifestyle portraiture to me.
